This is getting really old!!!

Dennis Gmoonstrucknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-44037116806804021452010-03-05T18:24:57.954-05:002010-03-05T18:24:57.954-05:00That old wooden boat looks like it is going to rol...That old wooden boat looks like it is going to roll down on Philo.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12043873610380390344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-39979706808140726462010-03-05T13:27:45.940-05:002010-03-05T13:27:45.940-05:00Well, at this point it's just Chris, but as I ...Well, at this point it's just Chris, but as I said, he's very good. He's the one who's been joining the winter paddling crew in a Sunfish. As long as he understands that my ability to watch anybody's back but my own is going to be totally restricted if I swap my kayak for a dinghy, and that I may in fact need babysitting if anything goes wrong, I think we can work things out.

I don't think any of the other sailors have drysuits. We went a lot further into fall last year than they'd ever done before, but at this point I'd say Chris is our only real frostbite sailor.bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04794351142636136626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-21925036966591584172010-03-05T12:59:40.644-05:002010-03-05T12:59:40.644-05:00Surely there are safe ways to go sailing sunfish.....Surely there are safe ways to go sailing sunfish...I'm guessing (besides the drysuit) that you are part of a group of boats out there and that some of them have excellent skippers etc.PeconicPuffinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15727526949787504644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-9583751354414803242010-03-05T12:53:40.738-05:002010-03-05T12:53:40.738-05:00Thanks Bonnie! Thanks Bonnie!Baydoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00751866865203182109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-29644402016121996112010-03-05T11:17:09.156-05:002010-03-05T11:17:09.156-05:00Yes, it was. Not that anybody else out there was wearing 'em, but we were.

Speaking of drysuits, my friend Chris is making noises about sailing this weekend. He's a very very good Sunfish sailor. I'm a so-so novice Sunfish sailor. On the one hand, it's looking so mellow, I'm tempted. On the other hand, that water is still really really cold & if anything goes wrong, it could go really, really wrong. Would probably be smarter to go paddling but man - 49 degrees, sunny, wind 5-10 knots - so tempting.bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04794351142636136626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-32209942587510186722010-03-05T10:54:19.965-05:002010-03-05T10:54:19.965-05:00I'd say "that dear needs an ointment"...I'd say "that dear needs an ointment" but we have too many deer.

Meanwhile it's still drysuit conditions if you fall in!PeconicPuffinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15727526949787504644noreply@blogger.com
