Your version sounds fantastic! I actually love riding but don't get very many chances to do it living in NYC. Kayaking is pretty good though.

Renee - if you move to the beach you should totally give it a try - you could start with a guided tour on some quiet water if you go back to the Outer Banks sometime, I just looked up "Outer Banks kayak tours" and there are a number of places offering tours, including beginner tours. Whitewater kayaking is mostly for the young and crazy but sea kayaking is a sport that people can do for their entire lives. I do highly recommend lessons, on a quiet day, pretty much anyone could get into a kayak and get it from point a to point b and back, but it's much more satisfying if you take a little time and money and start out by learning good paddling techniques and boating safety skills.

Here in NYC, it's just the most wonderful way to get away from the hubbub - I'm happiest here when I'm getting out on the water regularly. I didn't start kayaking until I was in my 30's and it's something I hope to be doing for years to come.

bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04794351142636136626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-19042915957207114932018-05-14T16:02:23.073-04:002018-05-14T16:02:23.073-04:00I would really like to try this...you make it soun...I would really like to try this...you make it sound so easy....but...and it sounds like you had a wonderful day....the heck with meetings...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12392823917814875927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-89633240574524835792018-05-14T14:44:39.779-04:002018-05-14T14:44:39.779-04:00I can't think of anything that would be as lov...I can't think of anything that would be as lovely! Blue skies. Spring all around me. Something I love to do before me.
I may be able to come close with a lovely ride across the prairie on a perfect spring day when the meadowlarks are singing and the sun is baking the scent out of the sage and I'm on my favourite horse.Diane Stringam Tolleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09629946536985545457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-46418358675570585202018-05-14T12:29:42.128-04:002018-05-14T12:29:42.128-04:00The only thing I would've been scared of if I ...The only thing I would've been scared of if I had seen a whale would be telling my clubmates that I went and found a whale without inviting them along! bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04794351142636136626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10267465.post-27898226142276039082018-05-14T11:33:27.963-04:002018-05-14T11:33:27.963-04:00Great pictures and yes that does look like art on ...Great pictures and yes that does look like art on the wall!
