I see it's had some modifications, like that winch and the wooden toe rail. I prefer the original design without winches, although that did mean I put some wear and tear on my hands handling the jib sheets this weekend.
This really was a great boat. He'd started with a used Etchells; when he began to refurbish it he found that the core of the deck was completely soaked & unsalvageable, so he took a skilsaw to it & completely converted it to a daysailor that he could singlehand comfortably. Still sails like a racer though & we had a fantastic day.
Is that the Etchells 22 you were on today????

I didn't think that was a Sunfish! Winches, jibs and a toe-rail would be a bit of over-the-top!

The only downside is that, at today's exchange rates, a picture is worth only about 482 words.
