Meanwhile, back in Brooklyn -

Speaking of smoke, there was a GINORMOUS warehouse fire in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn over the weekend. You could see the smoke clearly on EarthCam's Statue of Liberty Harbor Cam. Here's a nice shot by "lrj" on their Hall of Fame.   

Our NYC fireboats got to get to work - so often you see them doing water displays to welcome distinguished visitors and such, and that's always a pleasure, but on Sunday those powerful pumps got down to some much more serious business. Tugster Will collected some good shots from friends of his who were in the area - click here for those.
