Yeeaaahhhhh BROOKLYN! Who's ready for SUMMER???
Just a quick post today to share this FABULOUSNESS from my sister. She lives in Austin and here's what she had to say about 'em:
"From Brooklyn, playing in Austin this weekend at the HONK! TX Festival of Community Street Bands, it's gonna be GREAT!"
Dang. Cracks me up that I learned about 'em via Texas. But Austin and my sister are cool that way.

Dang, they are awesome! I wish I could invite them to play at Binghamton, New York's Porchfest in late August but I don't know any of the people who organize it. They would be perfect! (Austin is the place to go if you love music - I hope to visit there one day!)
Aren't they great?
I haven't been to Austin in eons even though my sister's lived there since she graduated from college - we tend to see each other at larger family gatherings like my mom's 80th in Florida this year and my dad's at their home in NC last year. Would absolutely love to get back there one of these days.
My sister volunteers for SXSW and I think we went to one of the earliest ones way back when - I was in college and went to visit her and there were all these great bands in the local bars. I think I remember listening to A Flock of Seagulls - I was into the new wave!
