Not my photo (somebody found it on Craigslist and shared it to the Church of the Double Bladed Paddle Facebook group) but this is the punchline to my favorite bad kayak joke and I couldn't resist.

Now that's a bad day! Well, we sold our canoe so now we're looking at Kayaks. What do you think about the inflatable kayaks? We travel a lot and think this is the best option for us right now.
Very punny
Bwahahaha! But it sure makes me wonder what on earth happened to that kayak!
The original post said something about kayaks and campfires maybe not being the best combination. heh heh heh.
Rena - I've only paddled one once, on the Nantahala River in North Carolina. It was a blast!
However, there was a wonderful paddler from Hawai'i, Audrey Sutherland, who became famous for her travels with an inflatable kayak. She chose that because it was something she could handle on her own (she did most of her traveling solo) and because it travelled so well (fold it up and check it with your baggage and off you go). She passed away in 2015 at the age of 94 but she left us with some wonderful books about her adventures. Here's her Goodreads page.
