People who don't sail, just don't understand what it can be like out there. Maybe it's an age thing but after three hours of sailing in 10 kt breeze on the Hudson River I need to get into the shade under a tree and take a nap.
Looks as though Abby will perhaps get a ride to Kergulen, hop to another French vessel, then go to Reunion or maybe Perth. Ste will be doing quite a bit of voyaging, but not on her own responsibility.
Hmmm. Dad was shopping the story to a reality show? Mum says the US taxpayers should pay the costs of rescuing their kid? They want donations to help rescue their $500k boat because they are "not wealthy"?

Glad she's going to be okay. Who wouldn't be glad of that? But I'm sad that she's stunt-sailing. Puts potential rescuers at risk.
