Tulip Time!

As promised/threatened in my Sheepshead Bay post, here is a random assortment of tulips in the Ditmas Park/Midwood neighborhood. Tulip time doesn't last too long, and boy, did I enjoy my tulip safari on the weekend before last.

And I just don't have anything more to say about tulips that they don't say for themselves way better. Click on the first photo for a slideshow view.

I love tulips! So simple and uncluttered.
Strong, clean lines.
And luscious colours!
Thank you for this, Bonnie!

Thanks all! I had such a good time taking these photos. People really have some beautiful plantings in their yards here.

It's amazing, daffodil time seemed to go on for a while, but tulip time was like maybe a week - they're all falling apart now. But what a week it was!

Very lovely. At least, with the cool weather we've been having, the tulips may have lasted a little longer than usual. But yes, still a short season and it's too bad it's over for you. At my house, the first one (yellow) opened up today, as it happens - too late for my Yellow post today.
