Wow, finally I know what Paul Simon meant when he wrote "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls".

There must be a huge land grab in the works. You New Yorkers are planning to steal access to Lake Erie from my native Pennsylvania.

You won't get away with this!

GEE!!! When id they run the subway all the way out to Brooklyn?

My drive way is a solid ice skating rink.

Super Bowl at Fire HQ. Burgers and dogs.

O-Docker: MUAHAHAHAAAAAA!

Dennis G. Moonstruck: Not to make you jealous or anything, but we got a great thaw today! Still lots of snow, but high 30's & just a great day for trekking all over Brooklyn on foot (which is what we did).

The high in Sacramento today was... no, I don't have the heart to tell you.

Out of consideration for your consideration, perhaps we will leave PA a pier or two.

Newkirk Plaza was my childhood subway station. I recall those pillars well. They used to be a really dark green, almost black, and incredibly grimy.

Hi, Ben - sorry about the moderation, I get a lot of spam!

Small small world - Newkirk Plaza has been my station since I moved out to Midwood 2002. LOVE the neighborhood! Awfully glad I moved when I did, I don't think I could afford it now with Ditmas Park & environs being such a hot neighborhood. I'm really lucky I have a good paddling friend who is a broker - she steered me to the area when I found myself needing to move out of an increasingly expensive situation in Windsor Terrace.

They've been doing massive renovations on the stations on the B & Q lines - I think the columns may have been green when I moved to the neighborhood.

The high in Rhode Island today was Jerimoth Hill. It is most days, actually.
