Gale Warning Walk on Coney Island

With a cold front blasting through the area bringing a windy day with gusts up to 40 mph, it was NOT a kayaking day (and it rained all day yesterday, that's why we got our paddling in on Friday), but it was a great day for a walk on the beach. I love Coney Island in the off-season; the wind was floating skeins of sand across the beach and tearing the spray off the waves and it was just beautiful. I came home with my hair full of sand and salt in the corners of my eyes from the tears caused by the wind, but very happy with the afternoon and the photos I got. More on Flickr, click here to view.
