Rabbit Rabbit

OK, that "rabbit rabbit" thing is not a personal tradition (in fact I'd never heard of it before college, when I got to be friends with someone from the Isle of Man who said it), but hey, this Colorado bunny posed so cooperatively, I couldn't resist! :D  :D

Rabbit, Rabbit - let's see, that would be four rabbit feet. Very lucky indeed. Cute little bunny. When I was very young, my father would take us all for a "cottontail ride" in the car on warm evenings. There were a lot of cottontail rabbits in the nearby foothills of Southern California and we all try to spot them as we rode along.

we have hares in the field but no photo opportunity so far, they're huge and you practically stand on them before they run off... give horses a fright.. lol

Bunnies in the backyard was always one of the things I loved about visiting my grandparents in NJ. We have them here in NY of course, I've seen them in Prospect Park, Croton Point, and even at the Sebago Canoe Club in Canarsie once, but they're a little more skittish. Denver folks must be very kind to the critters around their homes, the rabbits there were incredibly trusting.

I was sorry I didn't take my camera on the stroll we took around my aunt's residence, there were the cutest tiny baby bunnies there!

They're adorable.

I never heard of "Rabbit Rabbit" until I began blogging. The things you learn!

I never heard of the tradition, and now it's too late for June. I'll forget by July. Darn.
