That's awesome. It reminds me of picture of my youngest daughter, Laura, riding in Colorado at an early age. She had saddle though. You must have been really into it. Laura still rides when she can.
This was taken during a summer when we paid a fairly long visit to my Aunt Pat & Uncle Bob in Texas. Can't remember the exact cause but my sister and I got to do a good bit of riding during that visit -- my aunt had a horse, and this horse, Ginny, belonged to a friend of hers. Ginny was a very good-natured mare and a great kid pony, I usually ended up riding her while my sister rode my aunt's horse. This was just playing around in the arena - I actually got comfortable enough riding her bareback that I was taking her over little jumps (nothing fancy, just a bar set up on a couple of cinder blocks). That was a fun summer. This picture was one of a batch that my mom sent this summer, after my aunt and uncle moved out of the Huntsville home they'd retired to and into an assisted living situation. My uncle passed away this spring - I wasn't able to make it down for the funeral but I was so glad TQ and I had gone down for Christmas and had a good visit. And I'm glad my mom thought of sending me these pictures.
Glad you and TQ got that visit with your uncle and also those pics of a very special time with special people in your life.Priceless.
