A Hymn for Pearl Harbor

I had no specific plans to do a post in honor of Pearl Harbor Day, even though it's the 75th anniversary, I just never have the words for these big significant days. However, here is this beautiful rendition of the Navy Hymn. I didn't grow up to be a very religious person but being a Navy brat, I sang this a lot as a kid, and it chokes me up today. So, enjoy.

I'm just back from a trip to Belgium, driving through areas of NE France where wars have murdered endless generations of young men of all nations. I know how you feel about the lovely singing. But aren't wars sickening? See this documentary (in French) of the war in the Pacific. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODUiwo4RaQM

Oh, they are sickening, and a terrible terrible waste of lives. And they just never seem to end these days. Nothing glorious about it.
