Sebago Crocuses

The crocuses are up & blooming at Sebago & the daffodils are just coming up. Funny how much difference there is between the Paerdegat & here in Ditmas Park, where the daffodils have been blooming for a while.

We're still a couple of weeks from the NYC last frost date but I cleaned up the garden last weekend & now I find myself very tempted to just start planting things.

I'm jumping on the crocus bandwagon...had one in a Spring post a few days ago. I'm talking to the wife about planting some in the Fall (I've read that's when you plant them) so we can have more in Spring 11.

Oh, I thought I was the one who was jumping on the bandwagon, and late, too! I don't know that I saw yours, but I feel like I have seen a lot of crocuses online of late!

I had to be different & start off spring with an ice-cream truck. Personally, I think that when the water's still cold enough to give you an ice-cream headache, it's too early for ice-cream, but the truck showing up is always a good sign!

See? Too early for ice cream.

Nah, just crocus ice cream. Otherwise, ice cream is a year-round necessity. Just ask Baywench. I mean my lovely wife.
