Being the Continuing Adventures of a Woman and her Trusty Kayak in New York Harbor, the Hudson River, and Beyond.
(with occasional political rants just to keep things lively!)
The final picture was from our Saturday paddle. Lovely quiet day out on the bay. Lots of loons - 5 in drysuits, similar numbers of the feathered variety. We started out under beautiful blue skies, mid 30's with a light but steady breeze adding a touch of wind chill. We paddled about 7 miles to a sheltered lunch spot in Gerritson Creek, then back again. The sky turned all wintery as we neared the Paerdegat.
OK, actually it was such a nice day, applying the word "loons" to the non-feathered set isn't quite appropriate. This wasn't one of those ones where we came back coated in ice. We do those sometimes - that does take a certain degree of loon-acy!
Beautiful pics. I like the one of Radio City for the sheer glowing quality of the lights. That last picture is a good contrast to the others ... and op, the line that comes to mind is "When Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?" I already did a Poetry Corner on that one, but maybe a repeat is in order.

I can't decide. For pure photography, Radio City. The star for sentimental reasons....All good Bonnie, all very good
Great shots! The last picture definitely depicts a winter sky. With the Solstice coming tomorrow, can Spring be far behind?
Radio City is so iconic, it's hard to choose another, but the last photo sums up how I tend to see winter!
