Howdy from Huntsville, TX

Mmm-mmm-Migas!!!
Migas con huevos - fried tortilla pieces with eggs, jalapenos and tomatoes, a great Tex-Mex breakfast at Lindo Mexico Taqueria here in Huntsville, Texas. Good barbeque too, yes yes, and lots of catching up with family I haven't seen in far too long. Having a very nice visit down here in Texas. Back soon!

You aren't in the prison there I hope.

That plate looks absolutely scrumptious.

That looks like one righteous breakfast.

It was a great breakfast & although we weren't in the prison there (I doubt the prison breakfasts are that good), we were fueling up for some hard labor! My aunt & uncle who live there (the ones we were actually visiting) have an 80-acre or so piece of land where they built the home they retired to. They always had two or three horses and a couple of dogs and cats, and then my uncle also used the property as a tree farm (how's THAT for a retirement hobby?). They're both in their 80's & he's having some health problems, though, can't keep it up the way he used to. They are trying to sell the place now. There was a big windstorm a couple of weeks ago and there was a lot of cleanup work to be done to make the place look nice again - we did a lot while we were there! That was nice, though, made the taqueria breakfasts & barbeque taste better.

wow, nice breakfast! my family loves Mexican food, but we've never tried it for breakfast. I'll have to remedy that situation promptly!

Our first full day in Huntsville, we stopped at McDonald's - we'd come in late enough the night before that I was in a big hurry to see my aunt & uncle & Mickey-D's was the first spot we saw. The 2nd morning, we weren't in quite as much of a rush & upon discussion, it turned out that we'd both noticed a friendly-looking little taqueria, Lindo Mexico, on the main drag. TQ called to confirm that they served breakfast and we ended up going twice; the 2nd time my sister came & I believe in got the Austinite's seal of approval. Nice place!
