It's Practically a Frog Parade!

This one's from my friend Brian (A Moveable Bridge). It was hanging out on his parents' deck in upstate NY. I love this one, so perfectly compact and tucked into itself. It reminds me of the ceramic kaeru charm that one of my friends from Iolani gave me when my family left the islands in the way it fits into such a smooth little shape. "Kaeru", in Japanese, means both "frog" and "return", so if you put such a charm in your coin purse it's supposed to make the coins return. Travellers also carry them for a safe return to where they came from. I should've held onto that charm more carefully - it was from Hawaii.

Does anyone know what kind of frog this is? I've never seen one that looked like this!
