As a Brit, I feel very conflicted about this. On the one hand, it is very entertaining for the Union Jack to be part of the flag of a US state, but it is tragic that one of our greatest explorers and navigators died there.

Well, there's definitely a sovereignty movement. If there's a protectorate movement they need to get a better PR man. Perhaps Buff Staysail should get on the case?
