They'd need to be diamonds for that risk. Mussels go for about $3.50 a pound. Exciting though!
Sure is! I wouldn't want to go ten feet from that ladder.
Not actually as scary as it seems. I used to do that years ago in northern Quebec. Lots of fun and productive as well. We never came close to getting lost under the ice.

Neat, Michael! I was actually thinking of you when I posted this, I'm glad you stopped by. So is it gorgeous with the sun coming through the ice? You always see pictures of those amazing blues and greens in ice caves, is this like that or more muted because it's sea ice? And are the mussels the best mussels ever?
