Being the Continuing Adventures of a Woman and her Trusty Kayak in New York Harbor, the Hudson River, and Beyond.
(with occasional political rants just to keep things lively!)
Oh, no, I was in Red Hook at the Waterfront Museum. Went to see "Moby Dick Rehearsed", decided to do that when the forecast deteriorated to the point that I decided it wasn't a boating day. The museum barge was doing a splendid impersonation of a whaling ship tossing on the high seas! A cold front came through during the afternoon, sunshine and blue skies, beautiful, but very high winds (iwindsurf has gusts in the low 30's at Newark). I'd headed into Red Hook early because I always like taking pictures there, took my telephoto lens along - this was at intermission, at first I was going to stay inside because it was getting chilly but then I wandered over to the door and saw this.

After sunset, she switches arms, then back again just before sunrise. Hey, you try it...........
One day I want to visit New York. That's a beautiful sunset. Did you take that whilst in the kayak?
